This is one of those weddings that I will always remember – not only because it was a gorgeous wedding, but because Kay and Harin had such positive attitudes and gracious spirits throughout the planning and the day of the wedding. Their families were so wonderful and I really enjoyed working with Kay and her mother to plan this beautiful day.
I’m also in love with all of the details from the day that they used to combine both their cultures. Kay and her family are Chinese – so we included a traditional tea ceremony with lion dancers. Harin and his parents are from Sri Lanka. The groom and his parents picked out Kay’s saree in Sri Lanka that she wore at the reception. We also included the traditional lighting of the oil lamp at the reception. It was great to see such a beautiful tradition in person.
It was a real blessing to be able to be a part of this wedding day. Enjoy the images from Phototerra Studio!
