Hawthorn Estates – a quaint wedding venue in St. Clements, Manitoba – and the perfect location for this feminine and summery styled shoot.
I was so excited to do a photo shoot at this gorgeous venue! Our goal was to create a soft and pretty shoot with feminine touches. All the vendors involved nailed it! Pink peonies (so pretty!), floral stationery, stunning models, s’mores (how awesome is that), the CUTEST pale pink calligraphy apple place markers, and my favorite detail – the table runner printed with the words from Elton John’s ‘Your Song’.
‘I know it’s not much, but it’s the best I can do.
My gift is my song, and this one’s for you.
And you can tell everybody this is your song.
It may be quite simple, but now that it’s done.
I hope you don’t mind,
I hope you don’t mind that I put down in words.
How wonderful life is, now you’re in the world.’
Enough talk, let’s get to the goods! Thanks so much to all of these vendors for your hard work and creative talents.
We had the pleasure of being a part of the Hitch ‘n Post Ranch open house this week, and it was SO MUCH FUN! If you’ve ever been out to this little gem just outside the city, you already know how great it is. And if you’ve been lucky enough to meet the owner Kyle, you’ll understand why this wedding venue is so awesome.
We had a blast meeting new brides and hanging out with the other wedding vendors: Planned Perfectly, Academy Florist, Colleen Olafson, Anna Lang Bridal, Baron Craft Productions, Lumberjax Axe Throwing, Pinky’s Bakeshop, 4square Photo, Peachy Green Events and Topps Music Services.
Every wedding tells a couple’s story. What’s your love story?
You may have seen our post from our Love Story styled shoot a few weeks back (click here if you missed it). An afternoon spent at The Gates on Roblin creating the most pretty, most romantic setting for our Love Story styled shoot. Today I bring you the Love Story promo video from 111 Films – amazing work by Rob! And for a little something special, our friend Keith Macpherson provided the music. It turned out so great – thanks to all the vendors involved!
Are you planning a Winnipeg wedding? At Divine Weddings we believe that every wedding should tell the story of the bride and groom. Contact us to book your free complimentary consultation. We’d love to tell your love story.
There’s just something about a lake wedding. Nowhere else can you find gorgeous wilderness and a lakefront view better than Kenora, Ontario. So we decided to pack up a van with the geniuses at The Floral Fixx and headed out to Middle Lake for an enchanting lakeside styled shoot.
My favourite things about this shoot – A) Working with my bud Melissa from Sugar and Soul Photography (she rocks). B) Spending the day at the lake, duh. C) That amazing teepee designed by my other bud Julie (she also rocks) and D) That freaken skirt! Seriously, it will have you rethinking your entire wedding ensemble!
Thanks so much to all of these amazing vendors for all of your hard work. You all rock. I loved working with you and look forward to future weddings together! And special thanks to our amazing models – you guys looked gorgeous!
We planned a styled shoot at The Gates on Roblin a little while back. It had a touch of rustic (just a smidge), pretty whimsical details and was full of L.O.V.E. Outdoors along the river, a wood pile, a crystal chandelier hanging from a tree, and gold terrarium centerpieces dressed with moss and roses – it was all out magical and romantic. We titled it ‘Love Story’ because we believe every wedding should tell the couple’s love story.
Our gorgeous models were past clients of Divine Weddings – Kelly and Lars were married a few months before this photo shoot. We loved working with them to plan their ‘Love Story’ and were ecstatic when they agreed to be a part of the shoot. Don’t you just love Kelly’s blush wedding gown!
In the time since this shoot, Kelly and Lars have welcomed a baby boy – and so their love story continues. Awww. That’s what it’s all about 🙂
This shoot was also featured on Junebug Weddings – you can see the feature here.
Excited to finally share the images with you all – and stay tuned for the amazing video to come to the blog in the next few weeks.
Thanks so these awesome vendors for all of their creative talents!
I love styled shoots! Working with a great team of vendors to bring together a wedding look and letting our imaginations run wild is so much fun!
Last year the Divine Weddings team worked with a fabulous group of vendors to bring together the Peridot Styled Shoot for the Wonderful Wedding Show’s VIB Magazine. I love the entire concept of this shoot and I am thrilled that it turned out so beautifully.
You can see the full feature here and then check out the highlight video from 111 Films below. They did an amazing job bringing it all to life!
I had the best time working with Jessica and Matt to plan their wedding at Fort Whyte Alive last summer. If you’ve ever been to this Winnipeg venue then you know just how gorgeous this place is. It was the perfect location for their summer wedding. The natural elements tied in perfectly with their vision and worked so nicely with the wildflowers used in her bouquet and in the decor. I absolutely love the wedding arch they were married under – The Floral Fixx did such an amazing job – it was gorgeous!
The rain made an appearance in the morning but thankfully stopped in time for photos and the outdoor ceremony – phew!
It’s been fun sifting through their photos and looking back on such a great day. Enjoy these awesome images from Victoria Anne Photography!
The snow is all melted and I am ready for summer weddings!
There’s nothing like a gorgeous August wedding to get me pumped for the coming wedding season. You might remember Courtney and Chris’ wedding feature (you can see it here if you missed it). A gorgeous wedding at The Rustic Wedding Barn in Steinbach, Manitoba. It was such an amazing day and I am really excited to share their wedding highlight video from 111 Films with you today.
Photos capture all the details from the day, but a wedding video captures the love story.
I am so excited to share this wedding with everyone today. Not only was this wedding at one of my favourite wedding venues in Winnipeg – Bridges Gold Course – but it’s also the wedding of a very dear friend. Brittany and I met years ago and were also tag team wedding assistants with Divine Weddings when I first started wedding planning. So I was very honoured to help her and Gilbert celebrate their big day.
I love the trend of the First Look – Brittany and Gilbert decided to share their First Look moment with their wedding party and close family. I love everyone’s anticipation and excitement when Brittany walked out to see Gilbert for the first time. Awwww. They also had the cutest little people in their wedding party – just wait until you see the images of their ring bearer helping the two little flower girls down the aisle – cuteness overload!
The whole day turned out so great and I loved seeing my beautiful friend marry her best friend.
Do I have a treat for you today! For any brides out there that attended the Wonderful Wedding Show in Winnipeg this past January, all this gorgeousness might look a little familiar. We put together a beautiful styled shoot, along with a kick ass group of vendors for the show’s VIB Magazine. In case you missed it, you can see the feature here.
The entire styled shoot was designed around the color peridot – gorgeous shades of green that we used in the flowers, dresses, jewellery, cake, and stationery. The beautiful natural landscape of Cielo’s Garden was the perfect location for this elegant theme. We were so thrilled to showcase it at the Wonderful Wedding Show.
A huge shout out to all of these amazing vendors – we rocked it! Stay tuned to the blog to see the awesome video by 111 Films in the weeks to come.
